Summary

Federal and provincial/territorial legislation and regulation define NP practice in general and the authority to prescribe controlled drugs and substances specifically.  NPs are accountable to review and understand the federal legislation that applies to their CDS prescriptive authority as well as the specific provincial/territorial legislation and regulations in the jurisdiction were they practice.
