There are several opioid equivalency calculators available online. When choosing such a tool, prescribers are advised to review the evidence upon which the calculator is based before deciding to use it. In addition, it is important to note that many of these are based on American drug availability and guidelines, so care must be taken to ensure the recommended doses are consistent with Canadian guidelines.
