Lesson 1
Anabolic steroids – Indications and dosage
Anabolic steroids are used to treat disorders such as testosterone deficiency in males, in gender reassignment, certain types of anemia, some breast cancers, osteoporosis, chronic conditions involving tissue wasting (e.g. certain cancers and AIDS) and hereditary angioneurotic edema. While not supported by medical evidence, their use to enhance body image and for other non-sport related purposes has been observed since the 1950s.
