Specific assessment tools

There are assessment tools specific to different types of pain and patient presentations. For example, the DN4 Questionnaire is used to assess neuropathic pain and the CORE back tool is used to assess back pain (Dansie & Turk, 2013).

There are many resources available that provide specific assessment tools that can be accessed easily for use in clinical practice.
