Methadone – Indications

As previously mentioned, methadone is used for management of opioid addiction as well as for management of moderate to severe pain that is not well controlled with other agents. Dosing of methadone is individualized based on the reason for use, gender, weight, and the patient’s other medications and comorbid conditions.
