Module 1: Professional Accountability and Prescribing

Lesson 6

Application of the four topic approach in CDS prescribing

The four topic approach, developed by Jonsen, Siegler and Winslade (2010), is widely used in clinical practice and biomedical ethical research. Clinical situations requiring controlled drugs and substances are often complex since there may be a wide range of medical facts, circumstances, and competing goals and values between the provider and patient.
